Valerie Mack is originally from Miles City, Montana. She came to Dickinson State University in the fall of 1992 to complete her undergraduate degree and play basketball. Valerie currently serves as Treasurer on the DSU Heritage Foundation Board, where she is also a member of the Investment and Finance Committee, Strategy and Planning Committee, and Gaming Committee. She was inspired to join the board to help ensure the success of the DSU Heritage Foundation and to provide students with the same opportunities DSU provided her. Valerie hopes to continue increasing the number of scholarships available to DSU students each year.

Her involvement with the university extends beyond the boardroom. Valerie supports DSU as a donor and by attending as many Blue Hawk events as possible. In the community, she has been a part of the Rotary Club, the Eagles Auxiliary, and a member of Power of 100.

Valerie is married to Scott Mack, a Dickinson native and fellow DSU alum. Together they have two sons: Riley, who lives in Jenks, Oklahoma, and Reese, who lives in Dickinson and is completing a dual major at DSU this year. Valerie has worked for Dakota Community Bank and Trust for the past 15 years, where she serves as Senior Trust and Wealth Advisor.

Valerie’s service on the DSU Heritage Foundation Board highlights her ongoing dedication to supporting the university and creating opportunities for future Blue Hawk students.
