The DSU Heritage Foundation is proud to highlight Sarah Boltz, Coordinator of Philanthropy, whose energy and teamwork have made a lasting impression since she joined the Foundation in 2023.

In her role, Sarah supports many aspects of the Foundation’s daily operations—from donor relations and event coordination to grant management and administrative support. She ensures that visitors and donors receive a warm welcome, processes contributions efficiently, and helps keep Foundation projects running smoothly through her organization and teamwork.
Executive Director Ty Orton added, “Sarah is a great asset for DSU and the Foundation. She is always ready to help and has a tremendous attitude. She makes all feel welcome and is willing to help in many situations. She was extremely valuable when we were asked to help in the president’s office during the 2024–25 academic year. She has brought another great attitude and strong working habits to the Foundation. She makes the Foundation stronger in many areas.”

When asked about her most memorable accomplishment, Sarah said, “There is a lot to be proud of here at the Foundation, but one of the most memorable moments for me was the 2025 Faculty & Staff Awards Banquet. Our goal for that event was to show our sincere gratitude to the hardworking and dedicated faculty and staff at DSU. I hope they left feeling the love and appreciation they deserve. Also, coming right off 100 Years of Football and 2025 Homecoming – I couldn’t be prouder of everyone who came together to make this a once-in-a-lifetime weekend. It was truly an incredible display of teamwork and Blue Hawk Pride.”
Since joining the Foundation, Sarah has seen remarkable growth within the organization. “One of the most significant changes has been the addition of three talented women — Robin McChesney, Dr. Lori Hauf, and LaVonne Sadowsky,” she shared. “Each brings unique skills and fresh ideas that have strengthened our team. The Foundation staff truly feel like family, and our donors, alumni, friends, and student workers are second to none.”

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband Brent and their children, Collin, Maddox, and Lydia. Whether they’re at their lake cabin, enjoying the outdoors, or cheering from the hockey stands, Sarah finds joy in family and community—values that shine through in all she brings to the DSU Heritage Foundation.
