A decades-long partnership between Sax Motor Co. and the DSU Heritage Foundation (DSU HF) has resulted in significant progress within the Dickinson community.
“Christian and the group at Sax Motor Co. have supported the Foundation from the start”, said Ty Orton, Executive Director of the DSU Heritage Foundation (DSU HF). “They are great supporters and partners.” As a fourth-generation family-owned business, Sax Motor Co. is a key donor in providing top-notch facilities for the DSU and Dickinson community at large, including the Henry Biesoit Activities Center (BAC), the Sanford Sports Complex, and the Southwest Area Career & Technical Education Center (SWCTE Center). The company is also a consistent member of the Blue Hawk Touchdown Club.

Sax Motor Co. is particularly proud to provide the Sax Motor Co Business & Entrepreneur Annual Scholarship in the hope that DSU student recipients reach their academic goals and are encouraged to start their business venture after graduation. The company also provides scholarships to DSU athletes to recruit talented individuals to Dickinson and further uplift the community. Drawing in new community members in various ways to uplift the culture of Dickinson is a driving force of Sax Motor Co’s close partnership with DSU and the DSU HF.
“We feel very strongly that DSU is critical to the diversity and success of the Dickinson community, Christian Kostelecky said about the company’s partnership with DSU.

“It [DSU] offers so many opportunities to its students and to all of us living in SW North Dakota. We get to enjoy crisp fall days tailgating and watching the Blue Hawks play football, cold winter nights maybe watching a concert performance at May Hall, a sunny summer day at Family Fun Day on campus, and a spring filled with activities at the new Sanford Complex.”
