This year, the DSU Heritage Foundation proudly celebrates Office Manager Pam Rudolph and her remarkable 10 years of service. As one of the original staff members who helped establish the Foundation, Pam has played an integral role in its growth and success while helping create opportunities that continue to impact Dickinson State University students.

Reflecting on her decade with the Foundation, Pam is especially proud of the organization's incredible growth and the difference it has made in students' lives. "Ty, Amanda, and I were the original staff members when the DSU Heritage Foundation was established in November 2016," Pam said. "We started at ground zero and have had the privilege of watching the Foundation grow from a new organization into one awarding more than $2 million annually in student scholarships."

For Pam, witnessing that growth firsthand has been one of the most rewarding aspects of her career. "It has been an incredibly rewarding experience to be part of this journey and to witness the impact these scholarships have on our students and their futures," she said. "Looking back, it is remarkable to see how far we have come in less than a decade. I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to building something that continues to create life-changing opportunities for DSU students year after year."

One accomplishment that stands out to Pam is helping modernize the Foundation's scholarship process. When the Foundation began, scholarship management was entirely manual. Students completed paper applications, applications were physically distributed for review, and scholarship acceptance documents were processed by hand. As the Foundation continued to grow, Pam helped lead the transition to AwardSpring, a technology platform that transformed the scholarship experience. "AwardSpring has transformed the scholarship experience for our students by making the application process more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly," Pam said. "At the same time, it has streamlined operations within our office, reducing administrative burdens, improving accuracy, and allowing us to manage a growing scholarship program more effectively."

While the Foundation's growth has been exciting, what Pam enjoys most about her role is the opportunity to connect with people. "One of the aspects of my work that I enjoy most is the opportunity to interact with students, donors, alumni, and friends of the University," she said. "Building and maintaining those relationships is both rewarding and inspiring, as it allows me to see firsthand the impact the Foundation has on our students and institution."

Pam also enjoys creating memorable experiences for Foundation supporters through events and special gatherings. "Each year brings the exciting challenge of creating and implementing unique, engaging events for our supporters," she said. "I enjoy finding new ways to make our events fun, memorable, and meaningful while ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience."

What truly makes the Foundation special for Pam, however, is the team she works alongside every day. "Our staff is collaborative, dedicated, and always willing to step in wherever needed," she said. "Together, we consistently find ways to create positive experiences for our guests and support one another in achieving our goals. Working alongside such talented and passionate individuals makes coming to work each day easy and enjoyable."

Among the many meaningful connections she has made over the years, helping donors establish scholarships in memory of loved ones stands out as one of the most rewarding aspects of her work. "These conversations are often deeply personal, and it is an honor to help create a lasting tribute that celebrates someone's life and legacy," Pam said.

She finds great fulfillment in knowing those gifts create opportunities that will benefit students for generations to come.

"Knowing that a donor's generosity not only preserves the memory of their loved one but also provides life-changing opportunities for DSU students is incredibly fulfilling," she said. "Helping transform a donor's wish to honor a loved one into a legacy that will impact future generations is one of the most meaningful and rewarding parts of my job."

Pam's commitment to donors, students, and the Foundation's mission has helped shape the organization into what it is today. "Pam's welcoming personality and tireless work ethic have helped strengthen the Foundation from its earliest days. Her dedication to our scholarship and database programs continues to make a meaningful difference for our students and donors", saidTy Orton, DSU Heritage Foundation Executive Director.

As she celebrates this milestone, Pam is looking forward to the next chapter while reflecting fondly on the years she has spent at the Foundation. "Honestly, I am looking forward to retirement and the opportunities that lie ahead, but I will always cherish my years at the DSU Heritage Foundation," she said. "This community has truly become home for me and my family, and the friendships and memories I've made here will last a lifetime."

Although she may not be a Dickinson State University alumna, her connection to the University remains strong. "It has been an honor to be part of something so meaningful and to work alongside so many incredible people," she said. "While I may not be a Dickinson State University alum, I will always be proud to call myself a Blue Hawk!"

For 10 years, Pam has helped build a Foundation that changes lives through philanthropy, scholarship support, and meaningful relationships. We are grateful for her dedication, compassion, and countless contributions to the DSU Heritage Foundation.

Congratulations, Pam, on 10 outstanding years!
