Some people discover their life's calling over time. For Allisha Vogel, the path was clear from the very beginning. "From a young age, I knew the calling the Lord had put on my life was to become an attorney so I could help others," she said.

That sense of purpose led Vogel to Dickinson State University, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2019 with degrees in accounting and business and a minor in leadership studies. She immersed herself in campus life as a member of the DSU Rodeo Team, Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program, Student Senate and numerous student organizations. Along the way, she served as chapter president of Phi Beta Lambda, North Dakota Phi Beta Lambda State Vice President of Operations, Commencement Speaker and Outstanding Graduate.

While each experience prepared her in a different way, Vogel says they all continue to influence her career. Rodeo taught her resilience, discipline and perseverance, qualities she relies on daily as a litigator. Her accounting and business background provided the skills to operate her horse boarding business, Flying V Acres, LLC, while leadership studies strengthened her ability to guide clients and mentor others.

After graduating from Dickinson State, Vogel earned her Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law, where she distinguished herself both inside and outside the classroom. She competed on the Phi Alpha Delta Mock Trial Team, served on the Moot Court Board, contributed to the North Dakota Law Review and was inducted into the prestigious Order of the Barristers, a national honorary organization recognizing exceptional advocacy and brief-writing skills.

Today, Vogel is an attorney with Ebeltoft Sickler Lawyers PLLC, where she represents clients across North Dakota and Montana in a wide range of legal matters, including civil litigation, personal injury and wrongful death cases, business law, real estate transactions, estate planning, adoption and oil and gas law. Whether helping a family grow through adoption, assisting a business owner with complex legal matters or advocating for someone following a life-changing accident, Vogel approaches every client with compassion, preparation and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Her commitment to excellence has earned her recognition as a Great Plains Super Lawyers Rising Star for three consecutive years, as well as Best Attorney and Best Estate Planning Attorney in the 2026 Best of the Western Edge awards.

While grateful for the recognition, Vogel says the greatest reward comes from helping people navigate some of life's most important moments. "It truly is so rewarding to see the work I do have a positive impact on the lives of others," she said.

A second-generation Dickinson State alumna, Vogel followed in the footsteps of her mother, Lisa, a 1991 graduate. Although their college experiences were very different, both found a welcoming campus community that encouraged them to grow, lead and serve others.

Today, Vogel proudly encourages current Blue Hawks to embrace every opportunity Dickinson State has to offer. "Get involved," she said. "Volunteer, join organizations, attend events and get to know your classmates. Whatever you're interested in, DSU has something to offer you."

Inspired by Theodore Roosevelt's "Man in the Arena" speech, Vogel has built her life around the belief that meaningful work requires courage, perseverance and a willingness to step forward when others need you most. From the rodeo arena to the courtroom, she continues to live out the calling she recognized as a young girl, serving her clients, her community and the next generation of Dickinson State students with purpose and integrity.
