The summer days are flying by for the staff at Dickinson State University (DSU) as preparations to welcome new and returning students at the end of August continue. The DSU Heritage Foundation (DSU HF) staff are as busy as ever during the summer months, in the office from 7:30am-4:00pm Monday through Friday and traveling most weekends to connect with Alumni through various events. “Even if DSU is not in session, the DSU HF is still full steam ahead!” says Kierra Mathern (’22, ’23, & ’24), Director of Alumni Relations.

The travel events span several locations and include many DSU Alumni and Friends participants. So far, the DSU HF has travelled to Fargo, Billings, Williston, Bismarck, and Denver. DSU HF staff are also working on campaigns to support student scholarships, and supporting DSU campus events, such as the recent celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. In the small moments between all the work the DSU HF staff enjoys opening the double doors to their backyard for a quick break.

The DSU Heritage Foundation has several volunteer opportunities for alumni and friends of Dickinson State University. To get involved with one of the many committees, contact Ty at ty.orton@dickinsonstate.edu.
