The DSU Heritage Foundation (DSU HF) is full of passionate and energetic staff members, including students working part-time through the university’s work-study program. This spring, the DSU HF bids a fond farewell to an incredible group of seniors. “Our student workers aren’t just part of the Foundation – they become part of our family, said Pam Rudolph, DSU HF Office Manager and Scholarship Support. “Kailey and Maddy have been by my side since their sophomore years, while Lolli, Chris, and Alician jumped in as seniors and made an immediate impact. No task has ever been too big or too small for them.”

Madison Beckler comes from a long line of Blue Hawks and decided to become one herself after attending speech tournaments on campus in middle and high school. She is a double major in biology and chemistry, with a minor in leadership through the Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program (TRHLP). Beckler also participates in the DSU Science Club and Blue Hawk Catholic. At the DSU HF, Beckler works mostly on organizing data and helping with events and donation efforts. From her time at DSU Beckler has developed a love for higher education and hopes to attend graduate school in Fargo next. In her free time Beckler likes to get outside and create art and ceramic projects. One of her long-term goals is to give an official TEDTalk.

Chrsitopher Kistler is an exercise science major with a focus on sports management and hopes to stay close to DSU in the future by earning a master’s degree through the university and keeping strong connections with the DSU HF. Kistler also competed with the Blue Hawk football and track and field teams. Presently he is learning to find the leisure and connection that athletics brings to life through golf, instead of focusing on competition and results. Kistler thrived with the social aspects of the DSU HF like engaging with donors during the annual golf event in Arizona.

Lorelei Jarrett is an agricultural major with a focus in international ag business and a minor in leadership through the TRHLP. Jarrett also participates in Ag Club, Range Club, is a Student Ambassador, and competes for the DSU women’s cross country and track and field teams. One of her favorite DSU memories is qualifying for the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Nationals 4x800 team event on Valentine’s Day. At the DSU HF Jarrett assists Rudolph, updates spreadsheets, and lends a helping hand wherever it is needed. She enjoys meeting the donors, who ‘all have great advice for us to learn from.” After graduation she plans on pursuing an MBA and trading in some of her running time for Pilates and weightlifting.

Kailey Brimmer is majoring in agricultural business and ranch management, with a minor in leadership through the TRHLP. She also participates in Ag Clube, Range Club, and is a Student Ambassador. Brimmer helps the DSU HF with data entry and the prep work for events and tailgates. After graduation she plans on starting her agricultural career in Montana or North Dakota with the personal mission to “make a positive impact on my community and advocate for agriculture and its role in our communities and the world.” In her free time Brimmer enjoys leatherworking, traveling, and the outdoors.

Alician Parks started her college career at Minot State University in 2021 but transferred in 2023 to compete as a thrower for the DSU women’s track and field team. Parks is pursuing a BA in English with a minor in writing and a certificate in graphic design. When she is not competing in the hammer, weight, or shot put she is submitting short stories for publication. At the DSU HF Parks has taken on a role as a content writer, where she shares DSU alumni stories, DSU HF board highlights, and contributes to the annual magazine. This summer Parks will begin her fourth season as a tour guide for the Dickinson Museum Center. A long-term goal for Parks is to write and publish a book.
“Saying goodbye is never easy, but it comes with so much pride and excitement for what lies ahead for each of them,” said Rudolph. “Thank you for your hard work, your dedication, and the energy you brought to our team every single day. We truly could not do what we do without you—you’ve left a lasting mark here and in my heart.”
